Manages effective operations for a specified unit(s), with 24 hour responsibility for all clinical, human resource and business functions. Participates in advancing the leadership agenda for the Nursing Department, and contributes to the advancement of professional nursing at Shannon Medical Center.
BSN preferred. Demonstrated competence in clinical nursing. Evidence of leadership accomplishments. L&D Unit Manager must have at least 5 years of L&D experience. Possession of a current license from the Texas State Board of Nursing. CPR within 90 days of employment.
L & D Unit Manager: must be certified in ACLS, Fetal Monitoring and Neonatal Resuscitation or acquire within first year of employment and maintain ACLS, Fetal Monitoring certification and Neonatal Resuscitation certifications.
